Thank you so much for visiting my fundraising page! This Fall, I will be running my 5th half marathon. However, this time, I'm choosing to run for more than myself. I'm using my running to help save kids' lives by fundraising for Noah's Light Foundation. Noah's Light Foundation was founded by Amber Larkin while her son, Noah, was being treated for medulloblastoma, a highly malignant brain tumor. Many months of research, meetings with doctors and obversations revealed several hidden facts about childhood cancer research, but one was most jarring - not enough money was being focused on finding a cure specifically for children.
Noah's Light Foundation is so close to my heart and I'm excited to be running for a cause that means so much to me. As some of you may know, my cousin, Nick, was diagnosed with pediatric brain cancer at the age of 9. I never imagined this disease would affect me and my family so personally. Watching him go through what he did was one of the most difficult things I've ever witnessed. No child or family member should ever have to ask "is there anything or anyone that can help" and have the answer be "I don't know".
Today, Nick is nearly 10 years cancer free, but many children are not so fortunate. I choose to run in honor of children like Nick and in memory of children like Noah.
I'm running for kids who might be too sick to run today, but who could one day be running alongside me because the money I raised helped find a cure for pediatric brain cancer. Please consider making a donation today - no amount is too small!
